Every night is different, but generally what goes on is that people rock up to whatever cafe or bar we're meeting in this week, and we eat together. We generally hire a function room for this purpose. While the eating is going on, we have a community noticey time. Then we generally have some activity, which might be a talk, or a reflection, or a group discussion, or something wacky and creative.
Once every six weeks or so, we have Chicken Soup for the Soul night.
The coffee is on us, by the way.
Because of the limitations of meeting in a cafe (bar, pub, whatever) we will go offsite once a month or so to have communion somewhere where there aren't waiters bursting in with coffee every five minutes, and where we aren't continually distracted by the sounds from the rest of the bar (or whatever).
As well as that, we run little short courses where we can look in depth at things which interest (fascinate/worry/concern/amuse) us. The first of these was a course on the Old Testament, and future courses might include something looking at worldviews, and a short introduction to theology. We'll flag these on the website when they come up.
