Open and Bounded Sets

This seems like a good way to understand what we are on about. Imagine you're a sheep farmer out in the bush. You want to keep your sheep from wandering off, but you don't want to spend a vast amount of money on fencing, if you can avoid it. The solution? Well, it's dry, so you dig waterholes for the sheep. They will be where the water is.

Similarly, we don't want to draw boundaries where we fixate on who's an inny and who's an outy. At the centre, we are orthodox (in a Lewis' Mere Christianity sort of a way), but we seek not to exclude people with doubts, or lifestyles which conflict with some supposed church-y norm.

Generally, we want to be as un-churchy as possible, because Jesus didn't seem too keen on religious people. He was much keener on sinners. We want to be like that.
