Season of Creation

Apprehend God in all things, for God is in all things. Every single creature is full of God and is a book about God. Every creature is a word of God.
Meister Eckhart

In September, many churches including the UCA mark the Season of Creation. We at Cafechurch are alive to the theological and practical implications of the environment, even under COVID19 restrictions. So, this week, 22/9/20, Anne will be leading us in a reflective session on God's care for creation.

The UCA Synod of Victoria and Tasmania has the following missional priorities:
God in Christ is at mission in the world and sends the Church in the Spirit to:

  • share the Good News of Jesus Christ
  • nurture followers of Christ in life-giving communities of reconciliation
  • respond in compassion to human need
  • live justly and seek justice for all
  • care for creation
  • listen to each generation and culture so as to live out the Gospel in fresh ways
  • pursue God’s mission in partnership

A key resource for the evening was an interview with Carmody Grey. You can access it here.
